The Sublimotion Experience in Ibiza
Renowned Avant Garde chef, Paco Roncero, is the master mind behind Sublimotion – the most unique dining experience in Ibiza – where all senses of the mind and body are stimulated in cohesion with world-class gastronomy.
Located on the shore of Playa D’en Bossa, Sublimotion’s dining room features screens, lights, music, sound effects and lasers that all contribute to accompany the dining experience and create an enormous sense of immersion.
Those behind Sublimotion have gone to impressive lengths to achieve the experience, sourcing talent like the Hollywood composer Alfonso Gonzáles Auilar to create an enchanting soundtrack to accompany the 2017 experience.
Speaking to Qué Plan, Paco Roncero spoke about how the idea of the reality-distortion of Sublimotion came about:
“We’re creative and innovative and we look for the latest trends and we saw that the subject could fit perfectly in in what we do. From that moment we started working with the 360 glasses.”
Sublimotion is located at the Hard Rock Hotel, in Playa D’en Bossa, Ibiza – Villa Club guests can make a reservation through our booking service.
This year, Sublimotion has recruited Jorge Blass, Spain’s most famous illusionist, to help make the two-and-a-half-hour gastronomic journey more illusory and perceptive.
The food is, of course, beyond fantastic – Paco Roncero’s two Michelin stars aren’t just for decoration.
One lucky guest spoke of a cushion of olive oil – worked with liquid nitrogen, with liquid cheese and on a miniature washing line.
Another rumoured dish featured in the mysterious dining rooms is the white-chocolate foie gras doughnut – an intriguing combination of already-loved flavours.
