Property of the Month: Ayala IX

Here at Home Select, we breathe style and design. So much so, we have our own studio in which to house our team of interior designers and architects. Here they design spaces with the beauty, precision and elegance that characterises each of our homes.

Our most recent property to undergo a complete renovation is Ayala IX. Our expert team designed a major renovation project to transform what used to be an empty shell into a chic and luminous penthouse with a sizeable terrace. We even discovered some hidden skylights in the process!

Changes carried out in Ayala IX included knocking down the kitchen walls in order to create an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. A steel indoor window was installed as a room divider to delineate a separate corridor space whilst still allowing light to flow through.

Our team also granted the space luminosity. What was previously a wall with standard windows is now huge floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that sweep along one side of the room and open up to a private terrace.

The ceilings were raised in order to maximise cubic space, and we were delighted to find two sets of skylight windows that had lain hidden for decades behind a sheet of plaster.

To amplify natural light, a window was added to the interior bathroom to allow light from the now-luminous living area to flow through. Solid wooden flooring was installed throughout to lend the property timeless appeal.

The apartment has been designed in neutral tones with pops of colour which lend it a fresh, contemporary feel. Its subtle palette, chic furnishings and spacial reformation crowns Ayala IX as our Property of the Month.
